Nail Polish Collection
Yesterday was a VERY productive day for me and Noah. We started the day off by going grocery shopping. After that we decided that our apartment always stinks so we went to big lots and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies and stuff to make the apartment smell nice, we then came home and deep cleaned the apartment (it smells delightful now). I decided since I was on such a roll that I would organize my nail polish collection.
Now if you don't already know this about me, I have a nail polish obsession. This is a fairly new thing, going on about a year now. I used to wear fake nails but when they got too expensive (about $45 every 2 weeks) I decided to part ways with them. I have really nice nails naturally anyways, they grow fast and are REALLY strong. I already had a little bit of a nail collection going on because I used to LOOOOVE painting my nails when I was younger.
I normally paint my nails about twice a week (at least). Its very relaxing to me, don't ask me why.
So while I was organizing my collection I decided I would shoot a few picture to share!!
Before I organized them:

Color coded:

In their home:

I counted yesterday and I have about 70 nail polishes...
I buy a new one about once a week, sort of as a treat to myself. :)

Internship
In case you didn't already know- my friend, Hildur, has an internship at this company called Chrislie Formulations and she hooked me up with an internship for Product Development!
I started my new internship yesterday and my day was already off to a rough start. The lady at LA Cafe messed up my coffee order, it was cloudy and cold outside and I didn't bring a jacket, and my boss forgot to pick me up from the train!!!
My boss forgot that I was coming so she didn't really have much for me to do. Most of the day I was making phone calls to Salons to see if they wanted free samples of Lashem to see if they would like to sell it in their store! I also got together the sample packages to be mailed out.
Here are a few pictures that I took around the office:

There are literally empty bottles ALL over the office, these were under my desk. They have every different shape and color you could possible think of with different lids to match!

More bottles...

And more bottles... lol
I had a lot of fun even though there was some down time. Next week will be better because hopefully she will remember that I am coming!! We are going to get to go to labs and stuff too which is super exciting! I also got some free Lashem to try out so that was really exciting and a free makeup bag too, so I am a happy camper!

Current Obsessions
1. www.ApartmentTherapy.com
This one is an oldie but a goodie! I LOVE this website. I've always been very interested in Real Estate and interior design. I love seeing how other people live. People always think I'm nosey because I ask to see around their apartments but its just because I'm interested in how they live. I get that from my Mom. :)
2. SKIN CARE
My new BFF, Hildur, has been helping me get my skin under control! I had great skin for like 2 years and I thought I was finally over my "break out" faze but I was mistaken. Ever since I turned 20 my skin has gone BANANAS!!! So now I am trying to eat more fruits and veggies and drink more water. But more than that, I have been using a new skin care routine! Hildur gave me some Kanebo products to try for a few months AND she is giving me a facial tomorrow! LOVE her.
3. Roasted Garlic Triscuits.
I can't get enough. I have had 2 boxes in a week. I'm a cheese and crackers freak. Always have been, always will be.
4. Nail Polish.
This one has been on my list for awhile. My collection has almost outgrown my train case! My 2 latest colors:

Essie Pretty Edgy

Essie Lapris of Luxury
I'm wearing Lapris of Luxury now and I love it! I haven't tried Pretty Edgy yet though.
5. Making Color Pop photos!

6. Pushing Daisies!
And I don't mean being dead! I mean the ABC show. It only lasted 2 seasons but I am watching them on Netflix "watch instantly". The show is super corny but its quirky and cute! And I love their costumes!! The whole show is very whimsical and visually pleasing!

This week has been CRAZY busy! It's the 2nd to the last week of school and everyone is wrapping up their final projects and getting ready for presentations and finals next week.
Here are a few projects that I have been working on throughout the quarter:

This is my Complimentary colors to neutrals project. SO hard to get the colors right!!

For this one we had to find bright colors in magazines to make all the colors of the color wheel. The hardest part was finding vibrant colors! Mine got rave reviews from my teacher!! :)

This is just your average colorwheel
I just wrapped up several projects including a 65 page project on J.Crew which I have to give a presentation on next friday, a paper collage assignment for Color and Design Theory, and a 5 page paper on motorcycle safety which I have to give a presentation on next wednesday!
I get to register for Fall classes tomorrow which I'm excited about! I'm taking 5 classes next quarter and most of them are general studies except for Fundementals of Sketching!!
My friend, Hildur, (who is a beauty major at my school) told me that the place she is interning for needs another intern for Product Development! She sent her boss my resume so I'm pretty excited to hear back from her!
Noah and I have also gotten into the routine of going over to our friend Jorge's every Sunday night to watch True Blood because he has HBO. Last weekend Noah made us dinner over there too... Stuffed pork chops with baby carrots (with the ends still on them), mushroom sauce, and potatoes grotten (I dont know if thats how you spell it). It was sooo GOOD!
Noah also got a new job!!! He is now an official employee at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant in LA Live! He got a pay raise, he can walk to work, and he gets off work earlier! He is very excited!
