One Last Hurrah

Last night I went out with all of my friends, most of whom I haven't seen in MONTHS, and had one last night out of drinking and fun at our favorite bar, Obrien's.

I laughed so hard my abs hurt. I want to say thank you to all of my friends for being amazing! I love you all!

Here are some pictures from the madness:

Waiting for it to hit me...

I've been packing and getting ready for school almost all day today and it still hasn't hit me that I'm leaving in 5 days, almost 4!! I mean, yes, I realize that I'm moving to California but I don't really feel nervous or like I'm going to be home sick. I don't feel sad that I'm leaving my family. I mostly just feel excited!!
Almost all of my stuff is packed, and I realized something.... I have way too much crap! haha
I have like 6 boxes that I'm taking with me!! Noah has like 3 little boxes. I don't know how he compacts his stuff. He's crazy!!

ONE WEEK!!!!!

One week until I leave! I still haven't packed much. I finally got all of my kitchen supplies together.

Yesterday, my mom and I went and ran errands. We went to Art Media and bought some new art supplies. We also went to office max and bought some school supplies!

I'm so excited, I cant wait to leave! Anywho, I have to take Noah to go get his Motorcycle so tata!

14

14 days. TWO WEEKS! Two weeks seems like a long time until you have to pack everything you own. So far I have packed.... nothing. Okay, well I packed my "Oregon sweaters" that I will no longer need in California. That's something, right? I have now officially broken my wardrobe into two sections: my Oregon clothes and my California clothes. When I go shopping I think "that would be cute for my California clothes".

I feel very unprepared for this. I keep imagining what student housing will be like; will we braid each others hair, paint our nails, and gossip about boys? Or will I be in a room with a Gothic girl who doesn't want to talk to me because I like Hello Kitty? My life lately has already been all over the map. First, I had to pack my two bedroom apartment into one bedroom, now I have to pack my one bedroom into 1/2 of a bedroom that I will be sharing with a roommate. A roommate whom my mother has decided will be a dirty kleptomaniac.

"Should we engrave your laptop?" My mom asked me yesterday, all the while I'm wondering how that would keep someone from stealing it.

I'm soooo glad that my boyfriend, Noah, has decided that he will move down to San Diego for my first 3 months so he is near by. I will be staying in student housing for my first 3 months, then getting an apartment with Noah in some neighborhood that my mother thinks I should take self defense classes for.

Like that's going to happen.... I'm lazy, remember mom?

I'm super duper excited for school! I'm majoring in Product Development at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). I'm so excited to be surrounded by other creative people and get to do something that I LOVE. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with my degree yet but I would love to work for a magazine or a company like J.Crew or Marchesa.

Anyways, I will keep you all posted on how my procrastinating goes with packing.

xoxo,
Stephanie
