14 days. TWO WEEKS! Two weeks seems like a long time until you have to pack everything you own. So far I have packed.... nothing. Okay, well I packed my "Oregon sweaters" that I will no longer need in California. That's something, right? I have now officially broken my wardrobe into two sections: my
Oregon clothes and my
California clothes. When I go shopping I think "that would be cute for my
California clothes".
I feel very
unprepared for this. I keep imagining what student housing will be like; will we braid each others hair, paint our nails, and gossip about boys? Or will I be in a room with a
Gothic girl who
doesn't want to talk to me because I like Hello Kitty? My life lately has already been all over the map. First, I had to pack my two bedroom apartment into one bedroom, now I have to pack my one bedroom into 1/2 of a bedroom that I will be sharing with a roommate. A roommate whom my mother has decided will be a dirty kleptomaniac.
"Should we engrave your laptop?" My mom asked me yesterday, all the while I'm wondering how that would keep someone from stealing it.
I'm
soooo glad that my boyfriend, Noah, has decided that he will move down to San Diego for my first 3 months so he is near by. I will be staying in student housing for my first 3 months, then getting an apartment with Noah in some neighborhood that my mother thinks I should take self defense classes for.
Like that's going to happen.... I'm lazy, remember mom?
I'm super duper excited for school! I'm majoring in Product Development at the Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising (
FIDM). I'm so excited to be surrounded by other creative people and get to do something that I LOVE. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with my degree yet but I would love to work for a magazine or a company like J.Crew or Marchesa.
Anyways, I will keep you all posted on how my procrastinating goes with packing.
xoxo,
Stephanie
